Coming to the vernacular used in the blog its not Kannada- Its Tulu, a language spoken in Mangalore and the surroundings. You must have missed out reading the italicised mention at the top of the blog where Tulu is clearly mentioned.
Yet, you took only half a minute to decipher that one- not bad!
Thank you sir for the link, I personally think my Kannada rocks, good enough for me to understand Pampa, Ranna or Kuvempu. Or even identify Thika kobbus across the seas.....

Had the great pleasure of meeting some of SUMBA's moversnshakers, BUNTY (Ice Ice Tea baby), Ekta (The mishti-doi of SUMBA), Mamta (Baley Cha parka- ask her for this translation), Keshav (SUMBA ka self styled bhau) & of course Nargis (Bharatborn, I even got an autographed copy of her published book)....
You folks rock!
